Mortgage Mediators is currently the only service provider of its kind in Australia, New Zealand and surrounding islands (Australasia). Our services comply with all federal and state legislation. This includes, but is not limited to, the Privacy Act 1988, the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009, the Consumer and Competition Act 2010, as well as relevant industry codes of conduct.

The only way this approach can work is by a face-to-face team effort between lenders/LMI/ mediator/distressed mortgagor. When you have a real problem you do not attempt to try and resolve it over the phone or online, so face-to-face contact by a neutral facilitator is a critical link that removes all stymied efforts at communication. In addition, people often try to hide the fact that they are struggling from their lender. Face-to-face communication overcomes this. Trying to solve the problem from a comfortable distance is only a public relations exercise that usually does not create positive results.

The distressed mortgagor normally is unable to fund the mediation, so it is funded by the lender/LMI whom saves money from a positive outcome. No fee applies if not resolved.
