Our Services — How We Work

Upon invitation, Mortgage Mediators acts as a neutral facilitator between the distressed mortgagor and the lender/LMI, thereby optimising the results for all concerned.

Briefly, our process is as follows:

  1. The distressed mortgagor receives an invitation from Mortgage Mediators or is referred by the lender. Should they choose to go ahead, we set up a meeting with one of our consultants who is carefully briefed on the situation. Our fact-finding mission now begins. Detailed supporting and non-supporting genuine documents are obtained, and a detailed report is submitted to the lender/LMI within 24 hours to enable them to make a now genuine fully informed decision which cannot be achieved online or by phone. Can only be achieved by face to face mediation independently facilitated. Statistics and documentary facts support this.
  2. A second visit takes place with the distressed mortgagor to explain their required commitment and to monitor and assist with the process. Agreement or non-reached.
  3. If the distressed mortgagor is not approved for hardship/resolution and the property is to be sold, then the registered lenders/LMI panel valuation is obtained to determine a benchmark sale price.
  4. The borrower is informed of the decision and of the valuation, and the benefits that potentially will flow to them by conducting a favourable sale other than the expensive exercise of a forced eviction mortgagee sale. We advise the lender/insurer within 24 hours of the mortgagor’s decision. Agreement or non-reached.
